#FieldFashionista: Jane Jones

Jane Jones is one of our three darling #FieldFashionistas. In the Autumn we ran a competition with our very good friends at Alan Paine Country Clothing to find three lovely ladies to receive one of Alan Paines shooting coats to road test and write an honest review of. Jane, who lives in Rutland, won a Rutland Shooting Coat (it seems so fitting, literally!) has written us a fab little write up.

The Rutland Ladies Wax & Tweed Jacket

*True to size

I love this jacket; I love the look of it, the fit of it and it's many qualities. I have worn it for shooting, picking-up, tramping up hills & through woods and standing around spectating in freezing weather and been lovely and warm. The beauty of it is that it's both warm and waterproof (I remained lovely and dry in a good old downpour a couple of weeks ago) and yet it's not bulky or heavy. It's got good size pockets for gloves/tissues/dog treats/cartridges and the elasticated cuffs in the sleeves stop the wind and allow movement when shooting as well.

I've had a lot of compliments whilst wearing this coat as well; I love the combination of wax & tweed - it's both stylish and practical and makes a nice change from having to choose one or the other. I would happily recommend this coat.
