About us

Who we are

Formerly The Shotgun and Chelsea Bun Club, The Women’s Shooting Network is a membership based community, run by women, for women, who are focused on bringing women’s shooting to the forefront of the industry agenda.

What we do

The Women’s Shooting Network hosts shooting events nationwide for women and those who identify as women, with a mission to increase the inclusivity of the shooting sport.

Our events are designed to educate and inform, as well as being an absolutely banging day out (even if we do say so ourselves).

Our owner

Formerly The Shotgun and Chelsea Bun Club, The Women’s Shooting Network is focused on bringing women’s shooting to the forefront of the industry agenda.

Owned by Georgina Roberts, Olympic Trap shooter for Team GB, the Women’s Shooting Network is dedicated to bringing together education and entertainment to make sure those who join us have a banging time!

Georgina hopes to use her journey and experiences to help other women within shooting, both those who are just getting started, and those who have similar aspirations to her own.

The Women’s Shooting Network is passionate about making the shooting sport more accessible and inclusive for women.

Our mission

Our mission is to create a supportive environment for women within the shooting community and to make the sport more inclusive, accessible and welcoming.

To widen the platform of shooting, promoting the positive impacts of the sport and to create opportunities for women within the shooting.

Our ‘why’

Here at The Women’s Shooting Network, we are aiming high with our why…
We are completely aligned with why we do what we do!

  • We protect and promote the sport

  • We inspire and encourage others

We have history…

We’re so proud of where we’ve come from and we’re so excited to see our plans for the future come together (we really are aiming high with it) 😉

How it started

The Shotgun & Chelsea Bun Club was founded in 2011 by Victoria Knowles-Lacks, who took the shooting industry by storm as she paved the way for many female shooters.

The name of the club originated from Victoria’s incredible persuasion technique, where she would coerce her friends to come shooting with her by providing cake!

Since then, the club was bought by Georgina in 2022, who has huge plans to transform the platform for shooting, with a significant focus on women in the sport and increasing accessibility. The club has gone from strength to strength since conception, welcoming over 22,000 women into the shooting sport!

What we’re proud of

We don’t want to shoot our own load but, since it’s initial launch, The S&CBC (now The Women’s Shooting Network) has achieved many things.

Some of the highlights include:

  • Winning 10 awards

  • Welcoming over 22,000 women into the sport

  • Featured on TV and radio numerous times

  • Featured in numerous publications including Fieldsports Magazine, BBC 2, Financial Times How to Spend it, Country Life, Cheshire Life, The Field, The Shooting Gazette, Cotswolds Life

And we have so much more to give!

What drives us

Here at The Women’s Shooting Network, we are very motivated when it comes to the shooting sport!

We are driven to increase the level of female participation in shooting. We want to see more women taking part and succeeding in this sport and are dedicated to making it happen. Without this, are limiting the future of the sport at all levels.

Double Trap was a shooting discipline which was removed from the Olympic Games programme after Rio in 2016 due to lack of equality, as there was only a men’s event. The women’s event was removed after the Olympic Games in Athens, 2004, due to a lack of participation. We are motivated to ensure that this never happens again, in any domestic or international discipline.
